WELL RESEARCHED BOOK
Really good book. The author not only researches the case but actually follows in the hikers' footsteps, visiting Russia and travelling to the site and talking to people involved, including the one hiker in the group to turn back. Book is written in three parallel parts: following the hikers' journey day-by-day; following the investigation; and following the author in his retracing of the hikers' steps. The author has first hand accounts of timeline from one of the hikers who turned back, and has spoken with many related to the case as well as professionals regarding theories. Book ends with a convincing explanation as to the tragedy which befell the hikers. Very respectfully written too.
